Job Description

Our client has a vacancy for a hybrid Business Analyst/Project Manager to join an ongoing P&L and Balance Sheet Process Re-engineering project. The role will be heavily involved in actively delivering the Finance Systems Initiative\'s target state infrastructure. This role will involve working closely with Product Control and also liaising with Financial Accounting, Operations and different IT groups, and will involve overseeing the complete project life cycle from project planning to post-implementation support.

There will be a mix of BA and PM activities within the role, so we are looking for a Senior BA looking to make a step up, or a hands-on Project Manager who enjoys gathering and documenting business requirements to define business change.

Duties will range from producing test plans and managing user testing and acceptance of process and system change, through to planning, executing, and controlling project initiatives, providing expertise and specialist knowledge in support of all stages of a program/project where required. The successful individual should have a deep knowledge of business processes and products and their supporting systems (obtained from having held a line position or from significant project experience within their specialist area), with particular emphasis on having a deep understanding of PnL & Product Control processes and Project Management methodologies (Prince II and/or Six Sigma). An accounting background would preferred, Investment Banking product knowledge is essential, and knowledge of upstream Front Office & Operational processes would be huge advantage. You will also require strong interpersonal skills including experience in dealing across departments & be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders.
